Principal Scientist

We are committed to excellence in providing quality products and services and accelerating the process of target therapeutic development and clinical diagnostic development.  We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Principal Scientist as an addition to our Innovation team to lead R&D activities, drive commercial assay development projects, and collaborate across multi-functional teams.

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical, scientific and project leadership for product and assay development in protein characterization, functional analysis and IVD development
  • Plan, design, execute and troubleshoot laboratory projects and experiments to ensure timely delivery of milestones
  • Identify research strategies and product opportunities that are congruent with the company’s overall business objectives, and initiate the implementation of novel research and development
  • Write and review SOPs, technical protocols and reports
  • Develop and maintain strong collaborations and relations with cross-functional teams and external experts
  • Lead a team of scientists and research associates

 

Qualifications

 

  • Ph.D. in Biological Science or related discipline
  • 5+ years of working experience required
  • Knowledge of assay development and process development in an industry setting preferred
  • Strong scientific background in molecular and cell biology, experienced in protein- and cell- based technologies and bio-analytical assay development
  • Demonstrated experience supervising scientific staff, coordinating interdepartmental efforts, generating research hypotheses, analyzing complex problems and data, and bringing products to market
  • Ability to follow and establish SOPs and general knowledge of GLP/GMP guidelines
  • Detail-oriented and able to work on multiple tasks, with effective prioritization of duties
  • Ability to work in a fast pace collaborative team environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
