After 11 years in an academic setting, I transitioned to the industry as an Application Scientist at Acro. The change in the professional scene was smooth, thanks to the camaraderie of my teammates and the mentorship of the leaders in this company. I continue to learn about new projects, applications, and technologies in the biomedical field in this position. Also, the team is highly interdisciplinary, and I have been able to broaden my skill sets beyond technical. Although not mandatory by the company, I choose to take advantage of the opportunities to expand my leadership, mentorship, interdisciplinary, and business development skills. I am happy to join this team in such a pivotal point for Acro, and I look forward to synergizing my personal and professional growth and the company’s growth.
